Springtime is here, and as your resident fashionable lady, I wanted to present to you a quick 101-type reminder: A classic red lip NEVER, ever goes out of style (but make sure the color matches your specific skin tone!). If you have fair skin, try a coral-y red; medium-skinned ladies can wear anything from a red to cranberry-ish tone; and us darker-skinned gals can wear anything from a warm brick to burgundy. All of these can be found at your local drug store (I'd try a Walgreen's, etc.) or even grocery.

Whatever you do, wear it with confidence!

Did I mention it instantly whitens your teeth and adds extra sass? Ohh, yes. I've been wearing this pretty pout for weeks now!

Hiii, friends! Whoa, so it's been quite a while (I honestly didn't realize just how long it had been until I looked at the date of my last post, eep)!

In brief, Dailybooth (see above) has been taking over my life, and I get to do some fascinating and exciting stories in the next week. Will that suffice?

- I'm oh-so-thankful for the growth I'm seeing in my photography, and I will be posting my news packages on here as I do them.

- I'm expectedly waiting, waiting! He is always so faithful.

- Again, far too much time on the computer as of recent. There's a certain fella who's been keeping me up Skyping -- he knows who he is!

- I love me some Bernanke. Hurray for him being confirmed for a second term. More here!

If it seems I'm being curiously cryptic, it's because I am!

I will be posting again sometime during this weekend! I want to wholeheartedly thank every single person that supports me and that's made this website/my YouTube/Facebook and everything else a success! I am incredibly appreciative♥. Much love!

Salut, mes amis!

Right now, I'm sitting in my living room, watching my parents meticulously practice their brand new ballroom routines. It's a beautifully inspiring experience -- the way they look at one another is just *le sigh* adorable.

Okay, on a completely different topic... Can I get a drumroll please?!

I am delighted to announce the arrival of two incredibly HUGE items in my life:

#1 - My new iMac (with Final Cut Pro)! Tons and tons of videos to come. It is gawwwgeous, complete with a 22.5 inch screen. Ay, caramba! This girl's going to have MANYmany nights in fromt now on. Can't wait for Mac dates!

#2 - Charlie!

Eeeeeeeeeeee! That's ri-ight; I'm getting a mini Aussie (not this one per se)! I'm elated and a bit anxious, given it's the first puppy I'll ever have. I'll be getting him next year!

Okay, and #3 (bonus!) - My new phone upgrade: The Motorola Droid

It's an iPhone competitor, and its features are supposed to be much better than a Blackberry overall. I did my research prior to, believe me. Next year, you bet I'm planning on switching over to AT&T to nab an iPhone. Until whenever that may be, I'm thankful to have a new Droid!

What'd Santa bring you?! I'm aaaall ears.

Hiya! Oh, what a WEEK. In sum, blizzardy temps, commencing my new lifestyle/diet sans fast food (it's been ridiculously trying, but I'm reaping the benefits -- I've shed 5+ winter pounds thus far), interviewing the sweetest Santa Claus (click!), car shopping (I'm trading in my Saturn for an Aura, coat shopping (a blue peacoat and the North Face Aconcagua, finally), etc. etc.!

Annndd... I have a big announcement for y'all! *Drum roll*...

I'M GOING TO START VLOGGING THIS WEEK (with my new HD cam, yay)! Oooh, also, I have some pretty belated photos to share!

***UPDATE: I need to get my video editing software before I do this... So, standby!

So, remember that race I told you about last week? Here's a shot with my beautiful mommy post-race! Of course, I had to rock the pink Underarmor. ;)

And as aforementioned, I can't get enough of reality television. My girls and I went to the So You Think You Can Dance Tour a couple of weeks ago -- too thrilled!

Businesswoman special!

Aloha, all! Okay, you'll have to pardon my absence (yes, I know it's been aaages it seems); truly, it's been a remarkable/surprising week and a half. You see, I got into a bit of an accident -- "a bit" being quite the understatement, given little Missy (my car) had to be towed from the scene and is still in the process of being fixed up since the incident -- not a bruise or bump in sight on me, though! Phew! I'm beyond thankful. :D

Also, I finished up training for and RAN my 5k on Saturday! Yay-uh! Then, I gladly worked a 10-hour day at work, but, nonetheless, was completely tuckered out for the rest of the weekend. Then, you won't guess what I did at the beginning of this week. Ready, go!

... Give up?

Suit shopped! I've been, suit by suit, adding that oh-so-imperative successful businesswoman spice to my closet. Just how I like it!

So, naturally, we're going to talk suits in this bloggity blog post this evening. Here are my "Basics to Suit-Wearing" in four easy steps:

1. You can never, ever go wrong with a simple black blazer. Don't be afraid to venture out beyond the ho-hum suit and pant combo! Whether you pair it over leggings (like zees) or a dress (like zees), it's versatile and makes a bold statement without even trying.

2. Experiment. With color, styles, what makes you feel most comfortable. I am a HUGE fan of gem tones and solids -- especially in autumn; to each his/her own! For instance, I would opt for any of these department store steals (both by Tahari):

3. Tailor, tailor, TAILOR! For us gals that have been, well, blessed with big busts and curves, it's crucial. Such is the same the other way around; if you're not filling out your suits the way you want, make your suit fit you. Especially if you're paying big bucks! The only setback with this is that tailor jobs can be pricey. Do a little bit of research to ensure you find a shop you trust before you give your garment over to someone you don't fully trust to do the job.

4. The most important step: OWN your style. I mean that... Own it! Ever wonder why one gal supposedly can "pull something off" and another not? It's all about attitude. If you're confident and strut your stuff with a smile and poise, jaws will drop. Trust me!

And one last sidenote, while we're on the topic of suits here: I'm SUCH a sucker for a handsome man in a suit. *Suh-woon!* And with glasses to boot? Oooh, take note, boys!

Hiiii! So, it's a bit blustery out (certainly making for a loungy Sunday afternoon), so I made the most of being indoors and got alllll sorts of domestic! Whoop!

My mom and I decided to try our hand at some apple-topped porkchops. An hour or so later -- VOILÀ! I added the whole grain macaroni and asparagus for a little somethin' somethin' extra. :D Such a success!

The rest of my day has consisted of window shopping on the Internets; I get paid this week, and I have my eye on some must-have gems! I need a few staple basics as it gets chillier. Presently on my wish list:

Some tall, black boots (these are Manolo Blahniks). Yes, I do understand these are not so snow-friendly and that I do live in Colorado, but a girl can dream, right!? I want a pair with edge to 'em.

Also, a double-breasted military-looking jacket. I am in love with these! They're a bargain ($100) at Macy's. Maybe something a bit longer, too? And jacket-wise... an ever-so-essential North Face? Ooh, la la!

Speaking of shopping, goodness, I still have to figure out my Halloween costume! Beyoncé from the "Single Ladies" video (a long-sleeved version, more like this, sans the men, bahaha) is my first choice, but I will have to set aside some time during the week to put it all together. If not, I need to have a Plan B. Yiiikes! I know I don't want to dress up as anything traditional that you'd buy out of a bag. What to do!? I'll definitely let you know the verdict.

And with that, I'll leave you with my new current jam by David Crowder Band; it's such a fabulous worship song! In fact, the entire CD is just plain beautiful and worth every single cent. They're one of my all-time FAVES!

For the past couple of days, our newsroom's been abuzz with talk of one of the most disputed stories I've heard in quite some time. This year, CSU Pueblo's race for Homecoming Queen is being shaken up by two very diverse candidates: a gay male and a 60-year-old woman. The third candidate is a young, 20-something-year-old young female student. The goal of running, according to the openly gay male, is to promote diversity and acceptance of gay students on campus and that he feels more comfortable running for queen than king. The 60-year-old says she simply wants a second chance at an opportunity she'd been deprived of previously due to an allegedly tainted past.

What are your thoughts on the matter? Is the election fair? Is it right? Wrong? Should gender be an issue? Rather, is it impossible to make a judgement without knowing these individuals personally? I want to know! And boy, does this dovetail quite nicely with this, a hate crime bill that went to Obama today for signature. The Senate passed groundbreaking legislation that would make it a federal crime to assault an individual because of his or her sexual orientation or gender identity. Worth pondering.

In completely unrelated news: I'm in the midst of training for a Halloween 5k -- ooooh! I ran the full distance a few hours ago and am parched! Curious about what I did the ENTIRE run? I watched "30 Rock," of course! Seriously, how can you not love these folks? I'm such a big advocate of Wednesday and Thursday night television; you'll come to learn this quickly if you don't know already.

Anyhow, I have to be up before sunrise tomorrow to prep for a fantastic noon show. Nighty!

What a day it's been already; my goooodness! Ever-so-closely following the "Balloon Boy" (so-called) saga. It's incredibly intriguing; however, really? Does this family need any more media coverage? Richard Heene just seems starved -- it's getting to be a bit much, frankly. The latest: Charges may not come until next week. Also, the FAA is officially investigating the incident to determine if the experimental balloon's launch violated agency regulations. Hrrrm.
